Bovalina Olive Oil Group is a family-owned business founded in 2002 by Carmine Bovalina, his son Angelo, and son-in-law Anthony. Starting from 40 olive trees planted at their Penfield Gardens home in the 1960s, the company now oversees more than 300,000 trees through a share-farming model. Carmine, who initially worked as a market gardener and later ran a produce packing business, transitioned fully to olive oil production by 2007. The company processes its extra virgin olive oil on-site using modern equipment, including a state-of-the-art Alfa Laval machine, and operates a 24-hour harvest schedule to ensure freshness. Certified for food safety standards (HACCP and SQF), Bovalina also opened its first on-site store in 2022 to share its products and heritage with customers.
